Burjeel Holdings, a UAE healthcare provider, will take full operational control of the hospital in an effort to increase access to its medical services for ADNOC employees, their families, and the local community in the Al Dhafra and Al Ruwais area.

One of the largest healthcare facilities in the Al Dhafrah region of the UAE, the ADNOC-owned Al Dhannah Hospital, will be run and managed by Burjeel Holdings, according to their announcement.

According to the new agreement, Burjeel Holdings will take full operational control of the hospital in an effort to improve access to its medical services for ADNOC employees, their families, and the local population in the Al Dhafra and Al Ruwais region as well as the country's western region. Additionally, patients will be able to access Burjeel's extensive network, including Burjeel Medical City, for super John Sunit, the group's CEO, told Arabian Business that "in operating and managing the 122-bed Al Dhannah Hospital, we will enhance the existing service mix and capability, utilising the knowledge developed across our existing 16 hospitals, 24 medical centres, and an experienced team of doctors."

"As we search for capex-lite growth opportunities that allow us to leverage our expertise without significant capital investment," the company says, "the O&M approach is integral to our strategy." In addition, Sunil said that the group has been in "increasing number of conversations" about running and overseeing other assets throughout the MENA region.

The team is fully prepared to handle complex care cases such as trauma, organ transplants, women's care, paediatrics, orthopaedics, spine care, and neuro care. The group also has advanced technology systems that allow its healthcare facilities to provide excellent patient care.
